Traffic Advisory

The 2015 Rock and Roll USA Marathon-CareFirst Half Marathon-5K Health and Fitness Expo will take place at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center on Thursday, March 12 through Friday, March 13, 2015.
Free and open to the public, this expo features the latest in running technologies, fitness apparel, health and nutrition information and interactive displays. All marathon participants must pick up their race packets from the expo. Attendance is projected at 30,000.
Daily hours are as follows:
Thursday, March 12 12 Noon – 7:00 pm
Friday, March 13 10:00 am – 7:00 pm
There are no event-related road closures or parking restrictions scheduled in the area.
Events DC Transportation Assistants supported by officers from the Metropolitan Police Department will control the L Street crosswalk and the taxi lane on Mount Vernon Place.
You may anticipate an increase in traffic at the Mt Vernon Sq/7th St-Convention Center Metro station. There will be an increase in pedestrian and vehicular traffic in the Convention Center area throughout this event.
The appropriate District agencies have been notified for additional traffic monitoring and enforcement of parking regulations in the area surrounding the Convention Center.
